Purpose
- It is the policy of the managers of this page to maintain a strict non-political, non-commercial web site. This includes the espousing of strictly military-related causes such as POW-MIA issues and Gay-Lesbian Military activities. This does not mean we do not support them, it merely means that the purposes of these pages are diluted by inclusion of support for "causes." That is not what we are about. We exist merely to provide history about USA Field Station Augsburg and the units it supported and supplemented, and to provide a means for former members and friends to maintain contact with each other. Any other purpose would be cheating our visitors and friends.

3/16/2005, Augsburg Special Event
- The arrival of US Forces in Augsburg occurred on April 28, 1945. Augsburg is having a special event to mark this occasion. From what my German friend in Augsburg tells me, they will have a ceremony at Reese Kaserne at 1900 hours on 28 Apr 2005. There will be other events in the following days and weekend.
Sounds like a good time to make my flight from the UK to Germany. I’ll take photos and maybe a video to put on-line.
Cheers.
